Wasco County Commission Chair Steve Kramer says he will have a meeting with an Oregon Health Authority official on Tuesday as the drive to seek funding to construct a long-planned mental and behavioral health Resolution Center in The Dalles continues. Center backers have been trying to get the OHA to release $9.3 million in funding designated to go to the original provider for the Center that withdrew from the project, and give it to Wasco County to move forward. Kramer told fellow County Commissioners on Wednesday that he has been disappointed with communication with the OHA, but hopes the meeting with Behavioral Health Strategic Projects Director Christa Jones will be productive, adding they will be direct with their questions. The Resolution Center would serve the entire Mid-Columbia region.
