Still Time To Apply For The Dalles Sidewalk Rehab Cost-Share Program

The Dalles Public Works says there is still time to apply for the Sidewalk Rehabilitation Cost-Share Program.  The City will consider applications for the rehabilitation or replacement of existing residential or commercial sidewalks as well as new sidewalks as part of a commercial redevelopment project.  City Manager Dave Anderson says the purpose of the program is to help property owners rehabilitate deteriorated sidewalks that are their responsibility.  He says there are some common reasons for sidewalks deteriorating, but time is a big factor.  Applications for the program are received on a first come, first served basis.  To download an application and to review eligibility requirements, go to thedalles.org or call (541) 296-5401.
