Heights Streetscape Projects Formally Placed In Urban Renewal Plan

The Hood River Urban Renewal Agency board formally approved placing Heights Streetscape projects into the Heights urban renewal plan.  It took about four years to prepare the project list for the area of 12th and 13th Streets on the Heights, and they were finalized in latter part of 2023.  Urban Renewal administrator Will Norris says while it’s a small step, it serves an important purpose.  URA board chair and City Councilor Mark Zanmiller said putting Streetscape into the actual plan is a big deal, and now the task is to move forward to make the projects a reality.
