White Salmon Council Lowers Lincoln Street Speed Limit

White Salmon City Councilors approved revising the speed limit on Lincoln Street to 15 miles per hour.  The City had recently raised the limit to 20 miles per hour, but residents on the narrow street asked for it to go back down, citing safety concerns for motorists and pedestrians.  Councilors discussed other possible safety measures for the street, including speed humps.  White Salmon Mayor David Poucher said there is no money in the City budget for them at this time, but it can be considered in the future.
