The Hood River County Prevention and Health departments are offering a free 30-minute opioid overdose and rescue medication training to members of the community.  Along with the short training, all participants will receiving an opioid rescue kit containing gloves, rescue-breathing mask, alcohol wipes, and two doses of Naloxone.  Naloxone can quickly restore normal breathing and save the life of a person who is overdosing on opioids.  Training is offered in both English and Spanish by department staff.  For information, e-mail Daron Ryan at the Hood River County Health Department at daron.ryan@hoodrivercounty.gov or Belinda Ballah at belinda.ballah@hoodrivercounty.gov.
