Gorge Roubaix Returns This Weekend

The second annual Gorge Roubaix bicycle race is set for this coming weekend in The Dalles and Wasco County.  Chad Sperry of Breakaway Promotions explains Roubaix racing involves using regular road bicycles on dirt and gravel roads, and is very popular in Europe.  250 cyclists participated in last year’s one-day event, and this year the race will be run over two days.  It will start Saturday on last year’s course east of The Dalles, and conclude Sunday on a new course going west to Mosier.
