Skamania County K9 Tracks Two Suspects

In just over 24 hours, Skamania County Sheriff’s Office K9 Remi and his handler, Deputy Will Helton, assisted this week in capturing two separate suspects.  The Skamania County Sheriff’s Office says on Monday, Helton and Remi were requested to respond to a residence in Hood River for assistance in apprehending a burglary suspect.  During their response, Remi was utilized to assist in the capture of the 27-year-old suspect.  Then on Tuesday, a Washougal resident reported a burglary in progress in Skamania County.  After tracking the suspect for nearly an hour, K9 Remi located and captured a suspect that was later transported to the Skamania County Correctional Facility and booked on numerous felony charges.
