Sense Of Place Looks Back At Eagle Creek Fire On Wednesday

The latest in the Sense of Place lecture series coming up next week will be a discussion on Wildfire in the Gorge:  the Good, the Bad, and Lessons from Eagle Creek, focusing on the 50,000 acre fire of 2017.  Jessica Hudec and Loretta Duke of the U.S. Forest Service and Dr. Brian Harvey of the University of Washington will all take part in the talk.  Sense of Place host and curator Sarah Fox says each of the trio look at the fire from a different perspective.  The lecture will be Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. in the Columbia Center for the Arts in Hood River.  Ticket information is available at eventbrite.com, and livestream information is at mtadamsinstitute.org.
