NCPHD Reports Case Drop For Wasco County

North Central Public Health District reports COVID-19 cases in Wasco County continue to drop.  The most recent 14-day lookback had 38 cases, down from 68 in last week’s 14-day lookback and 74 in the 14-day lookback the week before that.  The NCPHD says it has opened 100 first-dose appointments at its Thursday Moderna vaccine clinic at the Fort Dalles Readiness Center, and twenty slots are already taken.  To book an appointment, visit ncphd.org.  Walk-ins will be accepted.  NCPHD is also assessing interest from those who would like the Pfizer vaccine for their children age 12 to 15.  Parents are asked to call 541-506-2600 to get their child on a wait list.  Kids 12-14 must have their parent present to get vaccinated.
