The third annual Mt. Hood Independent Film Festival is set for Hood River this weekend. Numerous films along with speakers and workshops will take place throughout the weekend, headquartered at the Columbia Center for the Arts. Center Performing Arts Manager Catherine Butler says they had about 200 submissions this year to choose from, and the quality was the best they have had so far. Andrew’s Skylight Theatre will also host some films, while Hood River Hotel will be used for a 3-D film session Saturday at 7 p.m. For schedule and ticket information go to columbiaarts.org.
