City of Hood River Wrapping Up Projects

A pair of on-going public works projects in Hood River should be wrapping up soon.  Interim City Manager Ross Schulz says the waterline project on the Heights should be wrapped up in early May, including street paving work.  And he adds the major portion of State Street work should be finished by the end of May.  Curbs and gutters on Oak and Front are getting finished, with sidewalks around Front and State to be done by the end of the week, and the first lift of asphalt paving State will be going in the week of May 19 and be drivable by June 1.  Schulz says the second list of asphalt is expected to be done sometime in October, depending on weather conditions.  Also there will be some sidewalk and curb work done in the summer that does not impact traffic flow.
