Cherry Fest Center Stage With New Superhero

The 35th annual Northwest Cherry Festival will be center stage this weekend in The Dalles.  The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Lisa Farquharson says one of the new attractions of the Cherry Festival is its own superhero, “Captain Bing.”  She says Captain Bing will be present throughout the festival, appearing at numerous events.  Cherry Festival activities get rolling Thursday evening with the “It’s The Pits” lipsync contest beginning at 7 p.m. at The Dalles High School Auditorium.  Complete Cherry Fest guides are available at gorgeradio.com.
