Goldman Resigns

Hood River County School District Superintendent Dan Goldman submitted his resignation Tuesday night as of the end of the current school year.  In his resignation letter, Goldman said he had accepted a position as Superintendent of the Northwest Regional Education Service District, which serves over 125,000 students in 20 school districts in Clatsop, Columbia, Tillamook, and Washington counties.  In the letter, Goldman said he had been “incredibly fortunate” to work with the educators that serve Hood River County’s children and families for six years, adding he was making the announcement as early as possible to give the district ample time to find a suitable replacement with a goal of helping the next superintendent make a smooth transition.  Goldman said he will remain in the community, and he and his wife Nicole will continue to entrust their daughters’ educations to Hood River County’s public schools.
