May Street School Building Plan Gets Planning Approval

The Hood River County School District’s building plans for a new May Street Elementary School was approved by the Hood River City Planning Commission.  Superintendent Dan Goldman says that moves them one step closer to beginning construction on the new facility.  The district will put the project out for bid in November, and plans to start construction in February.  There is a condition for the district to make sure lighting on the school mitigates glare into the surrounding neighborhood.
