Travel Oregon Asked To Assess Fire Impacts

Travel Oregon’s Hood-Gorge Region has been asked by the Governor’s office to reach out to the communities and ask if businesses have had to layoff seasonal workers early because of Eagle Creek Fire impacts.  The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce is gathering information, and Chamber CEO Lisa Farquharson says they have anecdotal evidence of impact to businesses in her community, but need more formal input.  Farquharson says they have sent out e-mails to The Dalles-area businesses to take part in a survey on fire impacts, and those that have not received it can call the Chamber at 541-296-2231.
